MEETING MINUTES
Twelve Chapter members attended.
Chapter President Andrea Goldstein called the meeting to order at 9:40 A.M.
President Andrea Goldstein thanked Moore College of Ar= t for hosting the meeting. She gave special thanks to Sharon Watson-Mauro, Library Director and Annabelle Curran, Archivist, who helped make it possible.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Minutes of the previous Chapter meeting, held on March= 28, 2008, were officially presented by the Secretary-Treasurer, Mary Louise Castaldi and accepted unanimously by the members.

Secretary-Treasurer, Mary Louise Castaldi, submitted a
report on the Chapter's finances and on membership for the year to date.

TRAVEL AWARD
Annabelle Curran, 2008
recipient of the award, reported on the 36th annual ARLIS/NA
Conference, held in Denver, May 1- 5, 2008. Her handwritten report focuses on =
the
personal rewards of attending the conference, and what she feels she gained
professionally. It will be kept in the Chapter Archives.

OLD BUSINESS
Outreach Committee
Stephanie Riley, Jennifer Cho and Ed Deegan represented ARLIS/NA and the Chapter at the ann= ual Drexel University iSchool “Rush at Rush= 8221; event, held on April 17, 2008, 4:30-6:00 P.M. at Hager= ty Library. They handed out ARLIS literature, and awarded a student chapter affiliation to Jessica Evans.
NEW BUSINESS
Chapter contribution to
2009 ARLIS/NA Conference
Karen Lightner
made a motion to raise the contribution to $200.00—$50.00 more than we
contributed for 2007 and 2008. The
motion was seconded by Jeremy Blat=
chley . A=

was taken, and the motion passed unanimously.
Marietta Boyer Travel Award for 2009
Ed Deegan
made a motion to cancel the 2009 travel award d=
ue to
lack of sufficient funds. This would be subject to a reopening by the execu=
tive
board in a reasonable time before the conference in April 2009. The
motion was seconded by Karen Lightner. A vote was taken, and the motion p=
assed
unanimously.
Election of Officer
The Nominating Committee appointed at the Spring 2008 meeting (Mary Wassermann, Ed Deegan, Amelia Nel= son) presented one candidate for 2009 Vice-President/President-Elect (to serve as President in 2010 and Past-President in 2011): Karen Lightne= r, head of the Art Department @ The Free Library of Phila= delphiaPaper ballots were distributed and collected.&nb= sp; The candidate was elected by unanimous vote of the 11 eligible participants.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Tyler School of Art is moving from Elkins Park, PA to = the main Temple University campus on Broad Street in Philadelphia. The move beg= ins the first week of January, 2009.
Andrea Goldstein, current President, is moving to Temple’s Ambler campus. After 19 years as head of Tyler’s libra= ry, she will be doing general reference in the Ambler library. The position of Reference Art Librarian at Paley Library will soon be announced.
