Game Summary:

Somerset Little League - Somerset's R. Walker hit a solid home run in the second inning to tie it up 1-1. Walker also got a single along with Mayer. Gibson pitched all six, holding the Park to three runs.

At the end of the game Somerset was honored by their team Uncle, Bob Loughran, NELL's President and District 19's District Administrator. Each Somerset player received a large duffle bag donated by Sunoco with the State Tournament logo on hte side. The bag contained various items including a tournament shirt stating "I played in the 1996 Pennsylvania State Tournament", Blockbuster gift certificates, and other hats and shirts. Pottsville Railway Park Little League - Strong hitting and patient batters allowed Pottsville to get 14 runners on base in five innings. Marx hit a strong home run in the third inning. Hits were also had by Miranda, Manning, Roshannan, Ridge, and Dwyer. Team activity at the plate:
