Game Summary:

Upper Darby Little League - Upper Darby fought hard in their last game of the tournament. Upper Darby's Andrel and McMahon pitched but were unable to contain the Franklin bats.

At the end of the game Upper Darby was honored by their team Uncle, Jay Voight, their host families, NELL's President and District 19's District Administrator. As each player was announced, Host families handed the player their gift at the pitcher's mound. Each Upper Darby player received a large duffle bag donated by Sunoco with the State Tournament logo on the side. The bag contained various items including a tournament shirt stating "I played in the 1996 Pennsylvania State Tournament", Blockbuster gift certificates, and other hats and shirts. Franklin Little League - Franklin's Hasson and Haun combined to pitch a no hitter. This great pitching was supported by strong hitting. Frederick had two doubles; Grill had two singles; Haun had two singles and a home run; Sandieson had a double and single; McGuire had a single; Rial had a home run; and Thoma had a double. RBI leaders - Haun with five and Rial with four. Team activity at the plate:
