The Newtown Edgmont Little League is honored to host the 1996 Pennsylvania State Little League Tournament From July 27, 1996 through August 3, 1996. Teams from Pennsylvania's five sections will compete to become the Pennsylvania Champion. The winner of the tournament will move on to the regional finals in Bristol Connecticut. This page is meant to provide a schedule of events, information to access the League, and provide summaries of each game. Schedule of Events:

Saturday - July 27, 1996:

• 11:00 am - Section V to arrive at NELL's fields for registration and assignment of housing.
• 12:00 am - Section IV to arrive at NELL's fields for registration and assignment of housing.
• 1:00 pm - Section III to arrive at NELL's fields for registration and assignment of housing.
• 2:00 pm - Section II to arrive at NELL's fields for registration and assignment of housing.
• 3:00 pm - Section I to arrive at NELL's fields for registration and assignment of housing.
• 11:00 am to 5:00 pm - Teams may practice at NELL's fields Two, Three, & Four
• 6:30 pm - Banquet at the Knights of Columbus featuring former Phillies player, Dicky Noles
• 8:30 pm - Pre-tournement briefing at the Peterson building at NELL's fields. Mandatory meeting for all managers and coaches. No players are allowed at this meeting.

Sunday - July 28, 1996:

• 12:00 am to 2:00 pm - Practice time available - Fields Two, Three, & Four
• 3:00 pm - Opening Ceremony
• 4:00 pm - Game 1 - Section #_ versus Section #_ - Field One
• 6:30 pm - Game 2 - Section #_ versus Section #_ - Field One

Monday - July 29, 1996:

• Dawn to Dusk - Practice time available - Fields Two, Three, & Four
• 4:00 pm - Game 3 - Section #_ versus Winner Game #1 - Field One
• 6:30 pm - Game 4 - Loser Game #1 versus Loser Game #2 - Field One

Tuesday - July 30, 1996:

• Dawn to Dusk - Practice time available - Fields Two, Three, & Four
• 4:00 pm - Game 5 - Winner Game #3 versus Winner Game #2 - Field One
• 6:30 pm - Game 6 - Winner Game #4 versus Loser Game #3 - Field One

Wednesday - July 31, 1996:

• Dawn to Dusk - Practice time available - Fields Two, Three, & Four
• 6:00 pm - Game 7 - Winner Game #6 versus Loser Game #5 - Field One

Thursday - August 1, 1996:

• Dawn to Dusk - Practice time available - Fields Two, Three, & Four
• No Games Scheduled

Friday - August 2, 1996:

Saturday - August 3, 1996:

• 10:00 am - Game 8 - Final Championship Game if the winner of game seven wins game eight - Field One
